We are an early-stage startup developing an exciting new method for lithium extraction. We are building a groundbreaking process from scratch and are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our core technical team. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on a technology that aims to reshape the industry.
The Role:
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-level Mechanical Engineer with a passion for building new systems in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the Lead Engineer to solve complex challenges and iterate on our technology. You will be a major player in the development and fabrication of our experimental systems, moving quickly from design to functional hardware in our lab.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Development: Play a major role in the design and fabrication of custom experimental setups and testing rigs.
Hands-on Lab Work: Execute daily experiments and hardware assemblies, ensuring high standards of accuracy and safety.
Process Refinement: Help test, validate, and refine the core lithium extraction process to maximize efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our chemical and materials experts to translate process requirements into physical reality.
Requirements:
Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science will also be considered if they possess strong mechanical and fabrication experience.
Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in designing and fabricating mechanical systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks or another industry-standard CAD program is a must.
Mindset: Open-minded, adaptable, and a true team player who can think outside the box.
