Software Programmer – LTE/5G Cellular Protocols

Job Description

Join our R&D team and work at the intersection of cellular protocols, RF analysis, software engineering, and spectrum-monitoring technology. The team researches LTE/5G cellular behavior and develops tools for monitoring, analysis, and detection of spectrum-related threats in both lab and field setups.

The role involves hands-on development in C/C++, Python, and Bash, working with databases and query languages, analyzing code and protocol data, and building detection mechanisms that transform complex RF/protocol information into reliable operational insights.

This position is ideal for a programmer who enjoys deep technical challenges, real systems, protocol research, automation, data analysis, and seeing software move from the lab into field activity.

Skills Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with cellular communication protocols, RF analysis, or telecom test environments.

• Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G protocols, signaling flows, protocol stack behavior, registration, mobility, handover, throughput, and latency analysis.

• Hands-on experience with cellular RF and protocol analysis, including RF measurements, protocol traces, logs, packet captures, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with cellular test equipment, protocol analyzers, RF tools, UE/base-station simulators, or similar telecom lab equipment.

• Proven experience completing significant software projects using C/C++ and Python, including design, implementation, debugging, testing, and maintenance.

• Strong scripting and automation experience using Python and Bash in Linux environments.

• Good knowledge of Linux networking tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, ip, iptables, netstat, ss, ping, and traceroute.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, routing, interfaces, sockets, packet troubleshooting, and network behavior analysis.

• Knowledge of databases and query languages, including SQL/NoSQL, query writing, joins, indexes, schemas, and basic performance analysis.

• Independent, detail-oriented, team player, with clear technical communication and documentation skills.
