Senior Backend Engineer

A fast-growing, AI-driven SaaS company operating in the network management and IT infrastructure space, is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join it's team.

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and build our high-throughput, low-latency processing infrastructure. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the core systems that power our platform, working on complex technical challenges at scale.

We are looking for someone who thrives on solving complex, large-scale system challenges.

This is not a maintenance role. You will be building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that process massive volumes of data in real time. You’ll work alongside strong engineers and be expected to operate at a high technical bar from day one.

What You’ll Do:

Design and build scalable, distributed microservices from the ground up

Own critical components end-to-endת from architecture to production

Write clean, efficient, production-grade code with a strong focus on performance

Tackle hard problems in concurrency, data processing, and system reliability

Push the system to its limits and redesign it when it breaks

Collaborate closely with product and engineering to deliver impactful features

Continuously raise the engineering bar through code and design reviews

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on backend development experience

Strong expertise in Java (Spring / Spring Boot), with Strong advantage for experience with Python and/or Node.js as well

Experience working in the communication networks field - big advantage

Proven experience building high-scale, distributed systems

Deep understanding of microservices architecture

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production

Strong experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals

Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)

Advantage:

Data Science Background (work/school)

Experience with Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, or similar systems

Background in data-intensive systems, streaming, or real-time processing

Experience with Apache Flink, Spark, or similar frameworks

Familiarity with Machine Learning systems or pipelines
