Team8 Startup–Head of Engineering

An early-stage Team8 startup, founded by experienced entrepreneurs, building a data-driven, AI-powered technology platform for large-scale, complex environments. As a Head of Engineering, you will lead and grow a high-performing group of senior engineers while staying deeply involved in architecture and technical decision-making. You will own execution end-to-end, define the technical vision, set strong engineering standards, and work closely with product and company leadership as part of the founding team. Responsibilities Build, lead, and mentor a growing group of senior engineers. Own technical execution, delivery, and architectural decisions across the platform. Drive high standards for code quality, reliability, observability, and production readiness. Partner closely with product and leadership on priorities, roadmap, and strategy. Design and operate scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure. Shape the engineering culture, processes, and best practices from the ground up.

Requirements: 7+ years of hands-on, production-grade software development experience. 5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams in fast-paced environments. Practical experience designing, building, and operating AI/ML-driven systems (e.g., data pipelines, model development and deployment, model serving, or AI-powered products in production). Hands-on experience developing with AI and driving its adoption across the organization, leading cross-team integration of AI into products and workflows while turning it into production-grade, company-wide impact. Proven experience designing and operating scalable, cloud-native SaaS systems. Strong experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and data-intensive systems. Strong technical craftsmanship, product mindset, and the ability to balance speed with quality
