- Experience with industry-standard protocols such as AXI, PCIe, Networking, Encryption, or Storage
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
- Familiarity with UVM-based verification environments

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities
As a Chip Design Engineer at Annapurna Labs (AWS), you’ll take ownership of real design blocks and drive their development through the full hardware lifecycle. Your responsibilities may include:
Lead microarchitecture definition and implement logic blocks and data paths
RTL coding and debug using SystemVerilog and industry-standard tools
Drive synthesis, timing analysis, and timing-closure activities to achieve high-performance, timing-clean designs
Oversee design reviews, sign-off processes, and tapeout preparation
Partner with Verification and Emulation teams on test plans, coverage reviews, and debug
Ensure quality and reliability validation, meeting AWS’s rigorous hardware standards
Cross-functional collaboration with Product Definition, Verification, Software, and Physical Design teams
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across multiple projects
You’ll own multiple stages of the chip development cycle - from architecture and coding to validation and production - while delivering hardware deployed at massive scale across the world’s largest cloud.

Basic Qualifications
BSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
4+ years of hands-on experience in micro-architecture and RTL design (Verilog / System Verilog)
End-to-end ownership of design blocks across the full chip development lifecycle, from design through verification, physical design, software and production.

Fluent English
