Back End Developer

We’re hiring a strong Backend Engineer to join a small, fast-moving startup building AI-driven technology for the insurance industry.

The company operates in the US insurance market, working with complex business insurance for large companies. The Israeli team is building internal AI tools that improve and optimize core business processes around sales, pricing, prediction, and operational efficiency.

This is not a classic “AI wrapper” role. The work combines solid backend engineering with applied AI, data-driven systems, LLMs, agents, and prediction models, all used in a real business environment.

What you’ll do:

Build backend systems that support complex internal AI workflows

Work on tools related to pricing prediction, sales prediction, and business decision-making

Collaborate closely with product, data, and business teams

Integrate LLM-based and agentic capabilities into backend systems

Take ownership in a small team where every engineer has real impact

What we’re looking for:

Strong backend engineering experience

Experience with TypeScript

Good understanding of asynchronous systems

Strong technical curiosity and passion for AI

Experience with LLMs / agents / AI systems - advantage

High ownership, creativity, and ability to work in a small startup environment

Strong English communication skills
