Description of the position:

The Mina and Everard Goodman Faculty of Life Sciences at Bar-Ilan University is seeking outstanding Ph.D. students in the fields of cancer immunotherapy and primary immunodeficiencies to join the Molecular Immunology lab headed by Prof. Mira Barda-Saad. The research team focuses on developing innovative and high-impact applicative solutions to eradicate solid cancers. This includes conducting in-depth literature reviews, designing and executing impactful experiments, analyzing the resulting data, and preparing manuscripts for publication. The Barda-Saad Lab specializes in cutting-edge technologies such as nanobiology, molecular engineering, gene silencing, molecular imaging, next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, and in-vivo models. Our dynamic research team, comprised of collaborators, scientists, and clinicians, fosters a synergistic environment where academic integrates with clinical expertise. This unique synergy bridges the critical gap between fundamental research and real-world applications, aiming to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into patient care.

Qualifications/ Required Background

MSc in Biology, preferably in Immunology/Molecular Biology

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience working with domestic and international equipment and service providers.

Strong familiarity with molecular techniques, Flow Cytometry, and cell culture

Knowledge and experience working with advanced microscopy systems and data analysis.

Experience in scientific writing.

Fluency in English

Proficiency in working with computer systems.

Salary / Funding/ Scholarships

The position is for a fixed term of four to five years.
