Economist - Student position

abra is hiring a Student for the Finance Department for a Junior Economist position A third-year Economics student with strong analytical abilities and advanced Excel proficiency, including complex functions, data analysis, dynamic reporting, and financial model building. Experience in budget preparation, financial tracking, and Budget vs. Actual analysis, with a solid understanding of core financial processes. Technologically oriented, comfortable working with BI platforms and financial systems, and quick to learn new tools and methodologies. Skilled in performing economic analyses, preparing decision-support reports, and working efficiently in multi-interface environments. Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and proactive, with strong teamwork skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality analytical work.

Requirements: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, advanced functions, model building) Experience in budget preparation and variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual) – an advantage Strong analytical thinking and data-driven mindset Technological orientation; comfortable with BI tools and financial systems Fast learner with strong attention to detail Excellent collaboration and communication skills
