Software Product Line Manager

Job Overview

Ribbon is seeking a Software Product Line Manager (PLM) to join our IP-Optical Business Unit Software Line of Business (LOB). In this role, you will lead the evolution of Ribbon’s Muse Multi-Layer Automation Platform, driving innovation in network management and automation while overseeing the transition from our legacy platform (LightSOFT) to modern, cutting-edge solutions.

You will play a key role in shaping advanced automation capabilities, defining product requirements, and driving the evolution of our software portfolio to meet emerging market needs and deliver innovative solutions for IP and Optical networks.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with customers and sales teams to identify market needs and define solutions for network management and automation.

Translate market demands into actionable product requirements and collaborate with R&D teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Drive product roadmap planning and execution in alignment with business objectives.

Support sales teams in responding to tenders and presenting Ribbon’s software solutions to existing and prospective customers.

Manage and optimize the lifecycle of modern Muse applications and oversee the sunsetting of legacy solutions (LightSOFT).

Qualifications

Experience with transport network management platforms and solutions – Mandatory

Strong understanding of IP networking; knowledge of Optical (DWDM) networks is an advantage.

Familiarity with Ribbon software solutions (Muse, LightSOFT) and hardware platforms (Neptune, Apollo) is an advantage.

Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

Creative, open-minded, and a natural problem solver.

Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams (system engineers, developers, testers, sales, procurement, legal, product marketing, product management, etc.) across multiple geographies and time zones.
