About the Role We’re looking for a high-energy, relationship-driven Cybersecurity Business Development Manager to help grow our venture footprint and support our world-class portfolio of cybersecurity startups. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the founders, GTM leaders, and product teams of some of the most promising cybersecurity companies in the world—while engaging and extending a robust network of security executives, including Team8’s CISO Village (a 600+ strong community of CISOs from leading global enterprises). Key Responsibilities Drive GTM Success: Support Team8's cybersecurity portfolio companies by identifying and engaging prospective customers, facilitating warm intros, and accelerating enterprise sales efforts. Grow CISO Village: Expand and deepen relationships within the CISO Village, including introducing new CISOs (especially in the U.S. market) and curating value-added engagements. Strategic Relationship Building: Develop trusted relationships with CISOs, Heads of Security, and other cybersecurity decision-makers across Team8’s global ecosystem. Event Leadership: Represent Team8 and its companies at major industry events and exclusive executive gatherings. Lead targeted roundtables, virtual briefings, and 1:1 conversations. Support Investment Process: Collaborate with the Team8 investment team during diligence processes by gathering structured feedback from relevant security buyers and stakeholders. Ecosystem Engagement: Facilitate ideation sessions and strategic conversations with CISOs and cyber founders to spark new venture opportunities. CRM & Tools: Leverage AI and tools like Affinity, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to manage outreach and track engagement.
Requirements: 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales—specifically in cybersecurity. Direct experience working with CISOs, security teams, and/or enterprise tech buyers. Strong familiarity with the cybersecurity startup and VC landscape. Exceptional relationship-building skills and executive presence. Strategic mindset with the ability to turn market insights into actions. Fluent English speaker and writer; polished communicator. Experience using modern CRM and sales enablement tools. Team player with high energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and a bias toward execution. Bonus Points Prior experience in a successful cybersecurity startup or venture fund. Exposure to GTM and product marketing for cyber products. Track record of curating high-value community or customer-facing events. Strong understanding of the U.S. cybersecurity market.
