Compliance, Procurement & Legal Counsel-Relocation to East Asia JB-5155

We are seeking a qualified Lawyer for a dynamic, combined role in East Asia. The position involves leading our legal counsel system, managing compliance processes, and overseeing our local procurement operations. As the In-house Legal Counsel in East Asia, you will manage contractual engagements and act as the primary liaison between our management and external legal and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

Managing and handling our entire legal counsel system in East Asia, including providing ongoing legal opinions to management.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with suppliers, clients, and business partners.

Managing and instructing external law firms as required.

Responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of local and international laws, regulations, and our internal compliance requirements.

Monitoring regulatory exposures and preparing materials for audits and inspections.

Managing end-to-end procurement processes for our various projects, including supplier communications and handling Requests for Quotations (RFQs).

Overseeing supplier compliance with contractual terms and payment processes.

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a valid license to practice law.

At least two years of experience in commercial contracts and negotiations.

Very high level of English (written and spoken) at a legal/business standard.

Understanding of regulation and labor/corporate law (experience in a global environment – an advantage).

Willingness to relocate to East Asia and complete mandatory professional training abroad.

Ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills in a multi-cultural environment.
