Role Description

This is a full-time opportunity based in Haifa for MSc, PhD, or post-doctoral candidates. The role involves conducting advanced research in the Brain Metabolism lab at the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine under the direction of Prof. Herman Wolosker (website: https://wolosker.net.technion.ac.il/). We have exciting new projects related to brain function, metabolism, and the blood-brain barrier. Our lab produces new genetically engineered models and conducts research using a multidisciplinary approach. The laboratory also routinely uses advanced mass spectrometric techniques to characterize the roles of small molecules and potentially new neuromodulators in the brain. The lab is also an associated member of the EU-based Trilogy consortium, which facilitates PhD student exchanges.
